Here we are working together to create different ways to make the numbers 1-4. For example… there are endless combinations to make the number 4. You can have 3+1, 100-96, 4 hearts, 4 tally marks, 4 pennies or 5 hearts take away 1 heart. The groups were very creative in coming up with combinations to create each number. At the end of the activity we did some exploration with tub play.
