Chill Time

Break is upon us and we wanted to have a little bit more free choice at chill time!  Here you will see what a few friends picked to do with their paper at chill time!  How cool are these super hero costumes?

Mrs. Alpert Hanukkah Celebrations

Scott and his mom were so excited to share their holiday celebrations with us yesterday!  They celebrate Hanukkah.  They read a book and taught us the dreidel game.  Mrs. Alpert was so kind to bring us each a dreidel to take home with us.  It was a blast to learn about the celebrations of friends in the class.  

Measuring

Yesterday we learned the difference between using a tape measure and a ruler to measure.  We use inches for both, but the ruler only works if a surface is flat.  Here you will see us measuring body parts with a ruler.  It was a buddy activity because it was hard to do on our own!

Making Connections is a reading comprehension book that focuses on one reading skill at a time.  We will work through the workbook in the order that we introduce the particular skill in class.  Here you will see a group focused on sequencing non-fiction text.

Making Connections and Centers

The Super Learners LOVED starting their Making Connections workbooks.  They felt so sophisticated writing in their very own workbook.  Today we worked on sequencing events.
