Google Earth
After reading How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World, we explored on Google Earth all of the places that were mentioned in the book. We couldn't believe how different the landscapes were from city to city. We saw the difference between the French countryside and the bustling city of Paris, France.
Mr. Allison Mystery Reader
Sabrina's dad made an appearance as the 1A Mystery Reader of the week. The kids were entranced as he was reading.

Padlet Global Read Aloud
Below you will see a Padlet we created, along with many we added to. During the Global Read Aloud (see website for details http://www.globalreadaloud.com) we like to extend our thinking globally and ask and answer questions with classrooms around the world! We were SO ecstatic to see a class from Sydney, Australia who was participating in the Global Read Aloud with us, wow!
